The Association of Advertising Agencies of Nigeria (AAAN) has commended the Federal Government for the three Executive Orders recently signed by the Acting Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo SAN.

In a press release by the Association, its President, Mr. Kayode Oluwasona expressed particular delight on the Executive Orders which mandated all Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) of Government to give preference to local goods and services in their procurement activities.

He noted that the  order by the Federal Government on the procurement of goods and services produced or provided by Nigerian citizens, firms or companies wholly owned by them is indeed an answer to one of the many prayers the Association has always made to the Federal Government.

He further noted that the Executive Order will stimulate the growth of the local economy and impact the marketing communications industry positively.

While reminding the Federal Government on the need to quickly inaugurate the Governing Council of the Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON), Oluwasona called for the full implementation of the Executive Orders and pledged the support of AAAN to partner with the Government on all its laudable initiatives.
